The short version:
The Android version will no more have updates on the Play Store. To get updated versions, go here or to GameJolt.

The long version:
Android's development always have been chaotic when you want to pass by the Play Store. APK must not be too big, then you need an obb file, then now you can't make obb files, but you have aab files that need to be signed, and your signature can be refused... And I'm also not mentioning the whole bullshit about the app being eventually refused for cOpYrIgHt or whatever excuse. (the latter didn't happen to KwK, but on another app that never could reach the Play Store)

As I worked on KwK, updating the game on the Play Store became more and more difficult with the years. And at the same time, these updates are necessary because Google loves programmed obsolescence (as a proud member of the GAFAM) and forced me to push updates. Actually, half of the updates on the Play Store were only meant to make the game still available and playable for new devices. While, in the shadows, makes it less playable on older devices.

I finally arrived to the point i couldn't push updates anymore. Not because of Ren'Py. The guys are doing their best to keep it going, and you know it's hard when all the code of a game needs to be translated from Python to Java (and not even the latest version of Java!) just for Android. Just because of Google that doesn't let me push more updates. Because putting an app on the Play Store isn't as simple as uploading a zip file to a website like on Itch.

So I decided to simply make a notice in the app's description and abandon the idea of pushing updates in the Play Store. And to tackle the risks of programmed obsolescence, I'll just push apk versions on GameJolt or Itch when it'll be necessary. Eventually, with time, the app might simply disappear from the Play Store.

I know it sucks. Blame it on Google.

This is really the first and last time I push an app to the Play Store. For that stuff, they managed to be worse than Steam.
